Westley {4 months}

Size: He had a delayed 4 month check-up this month, but we have official stats. Our big boy Westley is 16.9lbs (73%) and was 25.25 inches long (43%) with a head circumference of 16.5 inches (49%).
He is wearing what feels like every size right now: some 3-6 mo, mostly 6 mo, some 6-9 mo and a few 9 mo. Westley is certainly built differently than his two big brothers, who were long a lean. I laugh when he fills out "big waisted pants" that his older brothers couldn't wear because they were too short on them by the time their waists were big enough. That being said, he's bumped up to size 3 diapers but is about to out-grow those size 1 sneaks.

Mobility: Westley has figured out how to roll both directions but only on to his side so far--he can't quite get the whole roll on to his belly yet. He enjoys laying on his mat and kicking, chewing on his hands. Hopefully it doesn't last, but he has found his thumb--and it drives me nuts. He's doing well with holding his head steady when upright and even when on his belly.

Sleep: This has been a month of transition. He had been moved from his swaddle to Merlin's magic baby sleep suit (thanks, Lauren!) and that seemed to be a good transition for him. He would sleep for about 4 hrs at first, then shorter periods for the rest of the night. He needed to be rocked/walked to sleep and then we could lay him down flat on his back. It seems like he always wants to lay with his head turned to the right but that side of his head has been getting a bit flat so we've been trying to coax him over to the left side. When he wakes up sometimes, he's been finding his thumb or 3rd and 4th fingers and sucking on them--not cool!

Feeding: Right, so remember when I said he wasn't such a big eater last month?? Yep, we moved up to all 5 oz bottles shortly after that comment. He still eats every 3 hours or so but does well eating. Praying my supply will keep up with the change! Also, the drooling is crazy and I've bought some of those bandana bibs because he can't hold that drool in his mouth very well. Those things have been awesome to minimize the outfit changes needed!

Personality: Westley is a cuddle bug, doesn't want to miss a thing though. He's starting to really "talk" more and make some funny sounds. His teachers at daycare were trying to figure out this strange "animal" noise one day and realized it was him making those funny sounds! Sometimes he is not such a patient dude and will fuss until he gets what he wants--usually to eat! You'd think he would be picking up on me prepping that activity but he still insists on screaming and snorting through until he gets food!

Loves: his lovey (which needs a name), blankets, Jonah & Nolan, mommy & daddy, ergo, bathtime, his hands, music, sitting up and looking around, mat time, sticking his tongue out

Dislikes: naps, car seat (at first). being set down!

Happy four months, Westley!
