A vacation is better late than never! We had trouble deciding what we were going to do and how we would do it (time, finances, age-appropriateness), but eventually we got it together.
First stop on the list: Savannah, GA. Here we were able to see Randy's mom, her husband and mother-in-law. One night we were able to meet up with Randy's brother, Andrew. It was a nice couple of days spent with family.
Trolley tour of Savannah, lunch on River Street and Oatlands wildlife preservation.
Second stop on the trip: Amelia Island, FL. At this stop, we stayed at a villa at Amelia Island Plantation
with a college friend, Autumn, and her family. We had two beach and pool filled days, soaking up the beautiful weather, working on a vacation/kids schedule so it was great to be so low-key.
Gotta brag on my 2-year-old who's still early in potty training. The
whole trip went great and despite being trapped in the car for many hours at a time, he didn't have any accidents in the car. Of course, it helps when Daddy pulls the car over and is taught to "aim out for those trees, just not on your shoes". :)
Great vacation altogether with family and friends!
